Digital transition of companies: the CCI continues its support

Today, 81% of managers are convinced of the advantages of digital technology, compared to 68% two years ago. This is revealed by the France Num Barometer relating to the digital transformation of VSEs / SMEs in France, published at the end of September by the General Directorate of Enterprises.

Digital is playing an increasingly important part in the habits of VSEs and SMEs and, as part of the France Recovery Plan, the State has entrusted the CCIs with raising awareness and supporting companies in the digital transition.

Within the Nice Côte d’Azur CCI, a Digital Commission chaired jointly by Laurent Londeix and Emmanuel Souraud, has defined a roadmap for the development of the Côte d’Azur digital sector through three priority areas.

The members of the commission represent the local ecosystem, public and private players, start-ups and large groups. Shared feedback from the field, complementary skills make it possible to reflect and provide concrete responses to the needs of businesses in our territory.

Supporting Côte d’Azur companies in their business acceleration and digital transition

In all the geographical basins of the Alpes Maritimes, concrete actions are deployed in several sectors of activity. For example, let’s cite Commerce, for which the CCI organizes workshops, webinars, training (see the Agenda)… or even a digital solutions shop concept “My Shop My Solutions”. For Industry, the South Region PSI 4.0 program helps support companies in the department towards the industry of the future which integrates the digital component throughout the value chain. Finally, for Tourism, the CCI carries out digital diagnostics to identify the priority actions to be implemented. More broadly, the CCI also offers a new certifying cybersecurity referent training course, labeled ANSSI.

Develop the local training and recruitment effort

Despite a quality training offer for digital engineer profiles (UCA, PolyTech Nice Sophia-Antipolis Eurecom, etc.), the number of annual graduates is insufficient to meet the needs of local businesses. Qualified profiles are sucked up by large groups to the detriment of start-ups and Côte d’Azur companies point to a scarcity of resources. Faced with this observation, the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur will carry out a mapping of public and private training to identify the most sought-after profiles and thus define the appropriate training.

Currently, the Nice Côte d’Azur CCI and CASA are deploying an experimental program in Sophia-Antipolis with 40 companies with potential in order to provide solutions to their recruitment needs. And because digital technology opens up job prospects that are still unknown, the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur is working on the 1st edition of the Nuit du Numérique to present training and jobs in order to attract future talent.

Identify and support companies with potential in their financing and development

As part of the Scale-up Club launched by the French Tech Côte d’Azur, the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur contributes to access to financing and the employer brand to increase the attractiveness of start-ups.

Digital transformation is accelerating the introduction of new uses in the medium term and aims to prepare for the next stage: artificial intelligence (AI).

The Sophia Antipolis technology park is considered the heart of the AI ecosystem of the Alpes-Maritimes with the establishment of 71% of the innovative establishments in the AI sector. The Sophia Antipolis basin holds the first house of artificial intelligence in France to promote the development of innovative technologies for the benefit of companies and the territory.
Aware of the potential of AI, the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur was a founding member of the House of Artificial Intelligence, a partnership project supported by the Departmental Council. Involved from its conception in the definition of the “business path”, the CCI contributed to the “design thinking” workshops by proposing the integration of local business solutions in the showroom. On a daily basis, the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur manages the animation program of this emblematic place intended to raise awareness among companies in all sectors of activity.

Artificial intelligence will be at the heart of the conference “Artificial intelligence at the service of tourism” organized in partnership with the CRT Côte d’Azur France and the EuroPia Institute on October 20 at the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur. The objective is to make AI solutions accessible and to present the multitude of possible fields of application to ensure an optimized customer journey (initiation of an intelligent chatbot, personalized and targeted web content, prediction of the destination of travelers, intuitive booking system, data collection and processing, etc.).

And to be inspired internationally, Business France and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur CCI network are offering ten regional companies a “Learning Expedition” at CES Las Vegas from January 5 to 8, 2023 to enable participants to discover and be inspired by global technological innovations. The ten companies selected will benefit from an immersion program: a personalized tour of visits, business appointments, a tour of the show guided by a sector expert, etc.

Also at the beginning of 2023, the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur will be a partner of the World AI Cannes Festival fair from February 9 to 11, 2023. Twenty-five companies will be welcomed free of charge in a common territorial space of more than 250 m² made available by the Departmental Council. of the Alpes Maritimes.
